Fire Covers 3,000 Square Meters After Russian Attack on Kyiv
A Russian attack on Kyiv on the morning of August 30 caused a large fire in a non-residential building in the Holosiivskyi district. Emergency workers extinguished the blaze across an area of about 3,000 square meters, with no deaths or injuries reported at the site.
Fire Breaks Out in Kyiv After Russian Attack
The fire started in a non-residential building in Kyiv’s Holosiivskyi district following the morning Russian attack on the capital, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service reported.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze over a total area of approximately 3,000 square meters.
The emergency service did not report any deaths or injuries connected with the fire.
Several Districts Were Hit
The fire in Holosiivskyi district was part of a broader Russian attack on Kyiv.
Earlier in the morning, the State Emergency Service reported damage and emergency incidents in several parts of the capital. In Obolonskyi district, a residential building was hit and caught fire between the second and fifth floors. The fire there covered approximately 80 square meters, and three injured people were taken to medical workers.
A non-residential structure was also hit in Podilskyi district, while grass caught fire over an area of about two hectares in Desnianskyi district.
Russia Has Attacked Kyiv for Four Consecutive Days
The State Emergency Service said Sunday’s strike came on the fourth consecutive day of Russian attacks on Kyiv.
Emergency crews were deployed to multiple locations to extinguish fires and deal with the consequences of the strikes.
