Ternopil Region Selects Investor for New MRI Department
The Ternopil Regional Council has selected Line Scan 2019 LLC as the winner of an investment competition to reconstruct part of a hospital building for a new MRI department.
Investment competition completed
The competition concerned the reconstruction of part of the B1 transitional gallery at 14 Trolleybusna Street in Ternopil for an MRI department at the Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital. The project also includes the installation of a new magnetic resonance imaging scanner.
The investment commission of the Ternopil Regional Council reviewed the submitted documents and interviewed representatives of the participant on September 2. Following a vote, Line Scan 2019 LLC was selected as the winner.
The commission’s decision will now be submitted to a session of the Ternopil Regional Council for consideration.
New MRI scanner
Under the terms of the investment competition, the investor is required to reconstruct the designated premises and install and commission its own MAGNETOM Amira MRI scanner with a magnetic field strength of at least 1.5 Tesla.
The reconstructed facility will subsequently become part of the joint ownership of the territorial communities of villages, settlements and cities of the Ternopil region.
The competition was announced in July 2026, with proposals accepted until August 31. The opening and review of the submitted proposals took place on September 2.
MRI services at the regional hospital
The project is intended to expand diagnostic capabilities at the Ternopil Regional Clinical Psychoneurological Hospital by creating a dedicated MRI department.
The regional council has not yet announced a date for completion of the reconstruction or the start of MRI services. The winning commission decision must first be considered by the regional council session.
